"BERGHS BOOKS & MORE" HAS RECEIVED A PEDDLER PERMIT #2018-05 (PURSUANT TO LL#3-2014) FROM THE TOWN OF BRUTUS TO OFFER BOOK SALES, ETC TO RESIDENTS WITHIN THE TOWN OF BRUTUS. THE PERMIT IS VALID FROM THURS (7.19.18) TO FRI (8.17.18) FOR 30 DAYS.
*UNLAWFUL TO PEDDLE BEFORE THE HOUR OF 9am AND/OR AFTER 7pm.
*UNLAWFUL TO ENTER A RESIDENCE WITHOUT THE EXPRESSED INVITATION OF THE OCCUPANT.

PUBLIC NOTICE: ORDER ESTABLISHING SD #2
Access information on home page (link on left side) "NOTICE TO ESTABLISH SD #2" - NYS THRUWAY EXIT 40 FACILITY.
*Proposal to establish Sewer District #2, to connect to exisiting Village of Weedsport sanitary sewer system/waste water treatment plant.
*Costs to establish the Sewer District will be paid by NYS Thruway.
*Proposal will provide public sanitary sewer service to NYS Thruway Authority Maintenance Facility and properties along Dunn Rd.
*Sewage will be directed to Village of Weedsport sewage treatment plant.
*Associated fees will be applied to users on a quarterly basis billing schedule.

2017 Annual Water Quality Report
All Town of Brutus water districts (WD #2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9) receive water from Cayuga County Water & Sewer Authority (CCWSA) via the City of Auburn water system. The water source is Owasco Lake.
♦Water District #1 (Patel) and Water District #6 (Marshall) receive water from the Village of Weedsport (Owasco Lake).
♦Water District #3 (Weller Rd), #4 (Pierce Rd) and #7 (Thruway area) are interconnected water lines that extend from the larger Eastern Brutus water district in the Town of Brutus.
♦Water District #2 (Eastern Brutus), Water District #8 (Cottle Rd) and Water District #9 (Jericho Rd) have been consolidated into a single report as per NYS and Cayuga County Health Dept direction.

♦REGISTRATION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE TOWN OF BRUTUS OFFICE AND THE WEEDSPORT FREE LIBRARY. PLEASE SUBMIT COMPLETED REGISTRATION FORMS AND PAYMENT TO THE TOWN OF BRUTUS OFFICE.
♦MORNING ACTIVITIES AT SCHOOL WILL INCLUDE SPORT ACTIVITIES, PLAYGROUND FUN, ARTS & CRAFTS, ETC.
♦AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES WILL BE FIELD TRIPS TO THE JORDAN POOL, SKYZONE, BOWLING, A FARM VISIT AND A MOVIE. FIELD TRIPS MUST BE PAID IN FULL AT REGISTRATION.
♦PAYMENTS SHOULD BE MADE BY CASH OR CHECK. PAYMENT IS NON-REFUNDABLE. CHECKS SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO THE "TOWN OF BRUTUS".

USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT - HOME REPAIR LOAN/GRANT PROGRAM
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE: Assist low-income owner occupants in obtaining decent, safe and sanitary housing in eligible rural areas. Interest rates and terms for the loans are designed to make homeownership more affordable. Qualifying households may receive payment assistance, which is an interest subsidy that reduces the monthly mortage payment.
GRANT PURPOSES: Grant funds may be used only for repairs and improvements that will remove health and safety hazards or to make dwellings accessible for household members with disabilities.
LOAN PURPOSES: Loans may be used to remove health and safety hazards, to buy, build, rehabilitate or improve an eligible single family dwelling and make general repairs and improvements to properties.
TERMS & GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS DO APPLY. HOUSEHOLD INCOME MAY NOT EXCEED THE APPLICABLE LOW INCOME LIMIT FOR THE AREA - PLEASE REFER TO: http://eligibility.sc.egov.usda.gov/eligibility/welcomeAction.do.
→Applicants must meet citizenship or eligible non-citizenship requirements.
→Applicants must have stable and dependable income sufficient to meet repayment ratio requirements.
→Applicants must occupy the dwelling on a permanent basis.
→Applicants must have a satisfactory credit history.
→Applicants must not own decent, safe and sanitary housing currently.
→Property must not be designed for income producing purposes.
→Property must not have: an inground swimming pool, farm outbuildings, be large enough to subdivide into more than one site under existing local zoning ordinances.
504 GRANT REQUIREMENTS: At least one applicant must be 62 yrs of age or older at the time of application; must be unable to repay a 504 Loan; must have acceptable ownership and occupy the property; the adjusted household income may not exceed the limit for the area; unable to obtain financial assistance at reasonable terms and conditions elsewhere and lack the personal resources to meet their needs; grant agreement requires recipient to reside in household for 3 yrs after approval--or grant funds must be repaid.
→The property must be a single family dwelling located in an eligible rural area.
→The property must be considered modest and less than 2000 sq ft.
→Manufactured homes must be on a permanent foundation and you must own the land on which it is placed.
→No in-ground swimming pools.
