During the winter months, the Highway Department is busy keeping Town roads cleared of snow and ice. Every effort is made to avoid knocking down mailboxes, but occasionally it does happen.
Please be informed of the following:
•The Town is not responsible for replacing or repairing mailboxes.
•Mailboxes should be three (3) feet off the shoulder of the road. The distance from the bottom of the mailbox to the ground should be 45 inches.
