*Reduced tuition rate for eligible students who attend a Community College in NYS, outside of their county of residence.
*The Cayuga County Treasurer reimburses its share of costs of the student's tuition to the community college.
*A Certificate of Residency verifies that the student has been a NYS resident for one (1) year prior to registration of the start of classes and that the student has been a resident of Cayuga County for six (6) months prior to the start of classes. Residency of less than six (6) months will be pro-rated.
*The student must submit a new Certificate of Residency to the Community College once a year.
*The student must submit a Certificate of Residency for each separate Community College enrolled in, outside of Cayuga County.
*In Cayuga County, the reimbusement costs of the student's tuition to the Community College is apportioned to the Town in which the student resides.
NOTE:
The Town of Brutus must verify residency and complete the bottom section of the Certificate of Residency form prior to submitting the completed form to the Cayuga County Treasurer.
Cayuga County requires its own Application to be completed for Certificate of Residency - Please use the Cayuga County Certificate of Residency rather than the application provided by the Community College.
