Special Town Board Meeting
The Town Board of the Town of Brutus held a Special Meeting on October 3, 2013 at 5:00 PM in the Town Municipal Building, 9021 N. Seneca Street, Weedsport, NY 13166 to review the Tentative 2014 Town of Brutus and Fire Protection Budget and any other business that came before the Board.
Present were: Supervisor James A. Hotaling; Deputy Supervisor/Councilman Thomas Flynn; and Councilors Dave Miller, Jeff Hinman and Amy Chirco. Also present were Pamela Kelley, Bookkeeper,
The Supervisor called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. and dispensed with the Pledge of Allegiance.
2014 Budgets
The Clerk reviewed the changes that were made to the proposed 2014 Tentative Budgets for the Town and Fire Protection District with the Board and answered the questions posed. Councilor Miller moved to approve the 2014 Tentative Budget for the Town of Brutus with the proposed changes
which would now become the 2014 Preliminary Town Budget, second by Councilor Flynn.
RES 129-13 VOTE: 3 ayes, 2 nays (Chirco and Hinman). Carried.
Councilor Miller moved to approve the 2014 Tentative Budget for the Fire Protection District with the proposed changes which would now become the 2014 Preliminary Fire Protection District Budget, second by Councilor Chirco.
RES 130-13 VOTE: 4 ayes, 1 nay (Hinman). Carried.
Councilor Hinman moved to set the Public Hearing for the 2014 Preliminary Town and Fire Protection District Budgets for November 4, 2012 at 7:00 p.m., second by Councilor Miller.
RES 131-13 VOTE: 5 ayes, 0 nays. Carried.
There was no other business to come before the Board and upon motion by Councilman Hinman, second by Councilman Flynn and the meeting was closed at 5:15 p.m.
RES 132-13 VOTE: 5 ayes, 0 nays. Carried.
