Town of Brutus Municipal Building, 9021 North Seneca Street, Weedsport, NY 13166
Wednesday June 24, 2015 at 7:00pm
Planning Board Members Present: John Abraham (V), Joe Barwinczok (T), Frank Gross (V),
Dave Lipiska (T-Alt), Derek Ostrowski (V&T), Jim Scanlon (T), Nancy Sweet (V-Alt)
Absent: Don Bowden (T), Brenda Suslik (V-Alt), and Norman Wightman (T-Alt)
Also Present: Lynette Murray- Planning Board Clerk.
Meeting Attendants:
OPENING:
The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Chairman Ostrowski who also led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Chairman Ostrowski asked if there were any questions, additions or deletions to the minutes from the May 27, 2015 meeting.
Member Abraham motioned to accept 5-27-15 as written. Member Scanlon seconded the motion.
VOTE: 5 ayes; 0 nays. Carried.
CORRESPONDENCE/OTHER ITEMS:
- Discussion on Downtown Revitalization: Member Gross stated applications for the grant are being reviewed. Member Gross stated there was a Downtown Revitalization committee members that has researched grant writing and would be available to residence that may be seeking assistance with other grants. The committee typically meets on either the 2nd or 3rd Monday of the month in the old Burritt's building at 7pm.
- Discussion Local Eagle Scouts: are looking for community projects to fulfill their badge requirements.
- Discussion on the Route 34 paving project: Alternate Member Lipiska stated that the initial re-paving project will now just be a mill and fill in the center portion of route 34.
CLOSING:
At 7:30 pm, Member Abraham motioned to adjourn the meeting. Member Gross second the motion. VOTE: 5 ayes; 0 nays. Carried.
