OPENING:
The meeting was called to
order at 7:00pm by Chairman Abraham who also led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Chairman Abraham asked if
there were any questions, additions or deletions to the minutes from the August
24, 2016 meeting. Member Ostrowski motioned
to accept 8.24.16 minutes as written Member Gross second the motion. VOTE: 7 ayes;
0 nays. Carried.
CORRESPONDENCE/OTHER ITEMS:
- Discussion on Solar Farms: Member Gross has taken an active role to gather
further information from Chris H. Carrick, Energy Program Manager for Central
New York Regional Planning and Development Board. They have developed a
model solar zoning ordinance, which the town and/or village boards could
use to adopt in their ordinance.
Clerk Murray will forward this information and link onto Planning
Board members for their review.
Members
would like to see the production of the solar energy maintained in our local
area and would like to see this as a stipulation to the solar farm ordinance
that may be adopted. Also there were concerns regarding the disposal of the solar
units and the conformity with in the Comprehensive Plan.
Further
discussion will occur at the November 17th, 2016 Planning Board
meeting.
CLOSING:
At 7:45 pm, Member Ostrowski motioned to adjourn the
meeting. Member Gross seconded the
motion. VOTE: 7 ayes; 0 nays. Carried.
