o   UPDATE A-R SPECIAL PERMIT IN TOWN CODE: Planning Board had discussions on updating the Town Code for special permit in A-R District’s as requested by the Town. Planning Board members are not in favor of updates to the A-R zoned districts and making them commercial, per the Comprehensive Plan and revitalizing downtown. It is encouraged for AG businesses to move into the already commercially zoned areas (mostly in the village).

Planning Board members would like to focus on A-R District, River Front zoned areas and make recommendations based on current law and what has been outlined in the Comprehensive Plan to update special permits to cover River front activities. To include retail sales and repair of outdoor sporting related products and supplies associated with a few activities like fishing, canoeing/kayaking.

Chairman Ostrowski will draft up recommendations to discuss at the March 24, 20212 Planning Board meeting.

In addition, there was discussion that there should be guidelines set to save and utilize the Village store fronts on the lower street level to avoid converting them into apartments.
